@maxsta @EmmaMcInnes__ @themorgan @Subwaynzz @aucklandzwitsch Forgive my skepticism, but can this be demonstrated through data rather than an objective statement? E.g. SAIDI vs. spend (or at least U/G related SAIDI)?
@EmmaMcInnes__ @maxsta@themorgan @Subwaynzz @aucklandzwitsch Would be interesting to compare undergrounding prioritisation against other factors, such as weather induced outages, spending on tree trimming, safety related issues (traffic collisions), etc.
@ElectricTempus@jpr007@teslectrics@HogDexter It’s not the heat; it’s the chemical reaction. Electric arc furnaces still need carbon to reduce the iron oxide ore to make iron and CO2. If you use H2 you make iron and H2O.
@MaxRashbrooke@NZGreens How will this interact with FIF tax such as the deemed 5% Fair Dividend Rate? Or even income producing assets more broadly? Will it be taxed additional to, or will it offset?
@TomSesselmann@MikeHudema You’re 100% right about turbines on buses.
These roadside turbines depend on the extent that this recovers “waste” energy vs. creating additional drag for the bus to overcome. My gut feel is it would be more the former than the latter, however.
@REasther@Quantensalat I think it’s conflating the idea that human emissions increase the natural carbon cycle by 3%; which would confuse the “flow” of carbon with a “store” of carbon 🤔🤷♂️
@Allahisaliar @climatefutur@jamespeshaw “check sealevel rise on NASA 2.5mm...
