2026: THE YEAR OF FUTURE CITY BLUES!
Pumped to tell you that Adam(Stehreo) and I have formed a duo called Gramatik Stehreo(clever name, I know) and our first single ‘Crossroads City’ is out now!

Backstory: Adam and I have been touring and making music together for 10+ years now, he’s the badass guitarist that makes my shows 100x more fun. When we first met we instantly bonded over our love for the delta blues & blues rock. We quickly discovered we were both fascinated by the supernatural lore surrounding the faustian myth of the crossroads, the Robert Johnson story and how the delta blues became the blueprint from which all modern music genres evolved. (For those who don’t know, it’s a great rabbit hole to go down - there’s a doc on netflix called ‘ReMastered: Devil at the Crossroads’ which is a great place to start). While on tour in 2019 we first had the idea to make an album called ‘Future City Blues’ which would be our debut as a duo and would attempt to combine 3 of our favorite things: Blues, Bass, & Cyberpunk. We wrote about 15 tunes and one of the firsts was ‘Crossorads City’ which kind of reimagines the myth of selling your soul to the devil at the crossroads by setting it in a cyberpunk megacity of the future. You might be asking yourselves what happened to this album? Well, we almost finished it in early 2020. Then covid hit and totally ruined our plans of finishing it the way we wanted. The whole vibe we had going was kind of swallowed up by the depression of the pandemic so we just shelved it for another time, and wouldn’t you know it, 7yrs later, that time has finally come.😋 Tbh, thinking back on it now we’re both happy we shelved it back then cause even tho the songs were great musically, the execution wasn’t quite there yet as it desperately needed the maturity of our 7yr older future selves! Now that we’ve all arrived in the future, we’ll be releasing a bunch of FCB singles this year that’ll hopefully lead to the album, assuming some global calamity doesn’t thwart our plans again lol.
For now, enjoy the first single and expect more soon!

Sam Bankman-Fried and I were prison bunkmates and I know him well. So I read this with more context than most.
Sam and I argued more than once about the same thing: his refusal to accept ANY responsibility for what he did. Not once did he admit he’d done anything wrong — even after I told him repeatedly he could never begin to redeem himself without that acknowledgment.
You don’t earn a pardon when you can’t admit, even to yourself, that you did wrong.
An utterly bizarre situation last night in Monaco — after showing up more than two hours late for his scheduled set time, Travis Scott forced John Summit off stage so he could perform, cutting Summit’s set short in the process.

Amazon axing the new STARGATE series because it was supposedly too niche is such a frustrating executive decision.
This is STARGATE.
The original movie launched in 1994. STARGATE SG-1 ran for 10 seasons. STARGATE ATLANTIS ran for five more. Fans have kept this franchise alive for decades.
Martin Gero, who wrote on SG-1 and ATLANTIS, was developing the new series. Brad Wright and Joe Mallozzi were consulting producers.
People who understood the franchise were involved.
And Amazon apparently got nervous that the show would appeal too much to STARGATE fans.
That is insane.
Die-hard fans are not the problem. They are the bridge.
They tell friends to watch. They explain the premise. They build word of mouth before casual audiences ever show up.
Studios keep wanting legacy IP without the people who actually love it.
But that “baggage” is the audience.
STARGATE does not need to be sanded down for everyone.
It needs to be good enough that fans bring everyone else in.
TOTAL RECALL was released 36 years ago. The second-most expensive film ever made at the time, and among the most popular films of both Paul Verhoeven and Arnold Schwarzenegger, the story behind the scenes is as bonkers as what we see on the screen…
