@financialsamura Catholic school is 75% cheaper, still private. The 529 contribution is nuts… you can save $50k+ on those alone. Children need shared interest in education after HS. If they can’t get scholarships, they don’t need private college (a little 529 is fine)
@MrDanielBuck Tighter knit parenting group is the key difference IMO. You actually are allowed to contact and meet the other parents and organize. Public school visits feel like checking into a prison and it’s a PITA to get info of other students’ families.
@cptgrumpus@UziCryptoo Probably in the gutter for 5+ years. But fine now. Didn’t affect employment either… but… don’t try this if you want to be in financial services or oversight roles
@Essential_Fruit@grok@TheBitcoinBee_@alex_verem This is true. Reality is that for most Americans you need decent housing, food and reliable transportation. But you can save thousands a year on private label food and clothing from retailers, with way better options than 20 years ago. Invest the difference and you get yrs back
@LakeShowYo It’s offsides, but they should change the rule and waive offsides once the ball is within the penalty kick spot. The spirit of the rule is no longer distance cherry picking. Pure chaos inside the box is fun
