GRT is a digital asset trading and liquidity firm specializing in market-making, OTC, and treasury solutions for crypto-native and institutional counterparties.
Our team will be at @nextpredictio Summit in New York tomorrow at Convene, 30 Hudson Yards.
Prediction markets are a big focus for us at GRT, and we're looking forward to connecting with builders, venues and traders across the space. If you're attending, send us a message and let's meet.
These are the markets GRT is building for.
Thanks to everyone who made time for us in Seoul and Singapore. If we didn’t connect, let’s fix that: [email protected]
3️⃣ Compute is on its way to becoming tradable.
It isn’t a liquid market yet, but it was one of the most discussed ideas of the week. The building blocks are being worked on: price indices, regulated futures, and genuine hedging demand from AI builders and cloud providers.
Like every new commodity market before it, it will need price discovery and reliable two-way liquidity before it takes off. Each of these is a new market that only works with deep, reliable liquidity around the clock.
What stood out on this trip was how much interest there is across Asia. The gaps are content and regulation: most markets are still built around Western events, and the rules differ country by country. Whoever localizes and gets the regulatory path right will capture a lot of flow.
2️⃣ Prediction markets have moved from novelty to asset class, and Asia is leaning in.
The question is no longer whether people will use them; it’s how deep the book is. Headline markets are liquid, the long tail still isn’t.
1️⃣ 24/7 is becoming the expectation, and tokenized stocks are leading the way.
Crypto has traded around the clock since day one. What’s new is traditional markets following: Nasdaq is set to move to 23/5 trading in December, and tokenized stocks, where demand and issuance are growing fast, already never close.
The test is the weekend, when a token keeps trading for two days or more with no reference price, then reprices at the Sunday evening reopen.
The hard part isn’t the matching engine; it’s real-time risk, margin and inventory management when the underlying market is shut. The differentiator is how tight you can stay through those windows and how well you manage gap risk into the reopen. That’s where market makers earn their place.
Excited to share that GRT is joining the @CantonNetwork as a validator.
Canton is a core focus for us, and running our own node is a long-term commitment to the ecosystem. Thanks to @catalyx_suite by @IntellectEU for the infrastructure to deploy and operate our validator node.
1/ Most people think crypto liquidity lives on "the big exchanges."
Increasingly it lives on-chain — and providing it there is a completely different job.
If you trade against it or rely on it, the difference matters. 🧵
7/ So the real fork isn't CEX vs. DEX. It's active vs. passive liquidity — and where each earns its keep.
AMMs win on access & long-tail coverage. CLOBs win where flow is deep and fast enough to reward active risk management.
The question is never "which is better" — it's which structure prices this risk correctly today.
That's the lens we bring to every venue we quote on.
1/ There's no such thing as "the price of Bitcoin."
At any instant there are hundreds of them — one per venue — and they disagree. A few dollars apart on a calm day, a few hundred when things break.
A market maker's first job isn't trading. It's manufacturing a single number.
9/ Fragmentation isn't a bug in crypto. It's the structure. The venues aren't going to consolidate.
The firms that quote well aren't the ones with the fastest line to one exchange — they're the ones with the most honest picture of price across all of them.
That picture is the product.
