12. Nowhere, nobody: a masterpiece of all that makes Ariana vocally and tonally superior. nostalgic. I love when she sings in this moderately lower register. So clean, crisp, perfect hints of falsetto. Love the supporting bass, vocoder.

11. Bad thing (bunny hop): immediately thought it sounded like Harry Styles’ ���As it was” from intro instrumental. Much more upbeat with the backing drums. Kinda feels like a Katy Perry early 2000s type of song? I can see her singing this in her Katy Perry way

10. Never get over me: gives Dandelion. I feel like they could be mashed up. This song is for the fans. Has a chill little catchy hook and tonally very pleasing. Not super radio hit friendly though? But I love the song. Probably the 3rd I’d return to for a replay

7. Freak: Vocally GORGEOUS. It’s giving closing credits. I am curious why this wasn’t the closing song to the album but I need to get there. It’s sounds like a phone is ringing throughout the song, which that was toned down or just now there.

4. Stay: very sweetener era. Giving Stay by Taylor Swift a little bit? Probably bc repeat “say”. Prob just that triggering that song in my head though

3. Petal: LOVE! Smooth! Bass! Vocals! Falsetto! I wish they turned down exposure on the bass so it didn’t sound staticky. Want to be in a club listening to this. This is the first song I will replay. I knew I’d love it when she first performed it live.
