@BBCNews i went to Spain 2 weeks ago and it took me 4 minutes to cross the border with a UK passport. It took my Spanish wife 35minutes to clear the same border with her EU passport. I haven’t came across any problems in Malaga, Barcelona or even Greece when we went.
