So Starmer is about to resign.

His lack of personality, his lack of political nous and his general inability to read the room are the reasons for this.

But allied to a Chancellor who was almost identical in her weaknesses and with both lacking any sense of imagination or thinking outside the box continuity became toxic

The continuation of austerity in all but name and the targeting of welfare and in particular the focus on those with disabilities seemed like more than just a misstep rather a dereliction of what Labour governments are there for.

The debacle of the water industry after 2 years of nothingness is another political failure.

It could easily have been so much more different.

Almost feel sorry for the haters who are trying to spin Muslims voting for a woman in a party led by a gay Jewish man is evidence of Islamist sectarianism 😂

In fact it’s evidence of genuine tolerance, rejection of superficial identity politics and ability to prioritise tackling common concerns of cost of living, protecting public services and rejecting war mongering. And the promotion of mutual respect and individual freedoms.

The coming together of people is terrifying for the ruling elites.
