We're launching a weekly coffee hour with the tenants union! Join us on Wednesdays, from 6-7pm (come and go as you wish), and scheme, dream, commune and convene -- with us and with each other.
Please share and donate to this fundraiser for a comrade who just got out of prison after 27 years: HELP LARRY (BUTTER) PUT HIS LIFE BACK TOGETHER! ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ https://t.co/EDntkw4g6x
Tomorrow 3:30-5 PM
123E W William St, Ann Arbor
Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, join us at the SE corner of William and Main St in demanding that the City of Ann Arbor, the County, and the University of Michigan use their considerable resources to house people safely.
GRAND RAPIDS! More closures, less cash flow, no protection for renters? Doesn't make sense. Join us in demanding that @GovWhitmer reinstate the eviction moratorium for as long as this crisis and its debilitating effects last.
Landlords always act with their tenantsโ best interests at heart.

GRAND RAPIDS! Were looking for collaborators, accomplices, tenants, volunteers, organizers. The eviction crisis has already begun. If it hasn't affected you, it has affected your neighbors. We can fight back. Will you?
The impulse is to say "direct action gets the goods" here, but it looks like a KC judge is now forcing some (all?) landlord-tenant proceedings to be carried out in court, in person.
BREAKING: Judge Weir, who has the highest-volume eviction docket in Jackson County, has decided to suspend her remote eviction proceedings due to our repeated disruptions. Good. Remote hearings are a violent, gross violation of tenants' rights to due process.
ARE YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW IN DANGER OF EVICTION?
1. Don't self-evict. Force your landlord thru the whole legal process of eviction.
2. Show up to court. If you don't show up, you lose the case.
3. Connect with the tenants union (us!) and with each other. We're stronger together
If you are at risk or are getting evicted due to non-payment from COVID related circumstances, you can apply for the eviction diversion program (EDP). Funds are available but will be expiring soon. Please pass along if you know anyone at risk.
Hello GR Twitter and beyond! Trying to expand the social-media scope of this project. We hope to engage in locals and the larger fight to #cancelrent, provide #HousingForAll, and generally help foster collective power among tenants in the Grand Rapids area.
