Got it — having the queue already in place is the right setup for beta. With mostly 1080p short-form videos and Pro jobs up to ~5 minutes, the main missing sizing input now is volume and concurrency. Roughly how many videos per day are you rendering while testing with real users, and how many typically render at the same time?

[GreatHosts.biz @GreatHosts]

That helps. Burning captions with ffmpeg/libass usually means a full video re-encode, so CPU is often the main bottleneck, though codec, resolution and storage speed also matter. Until v2 changes it, I’d put renders behind a job queue with a small concurrency limit so multiple encodes don’t slow the rest of the SaaS. If v2 moves rendering elsewhere, the VPS can usually stay much smaller. Roughly how many videos per day are you rendering, and at what typical length/resolution?

If you’re comparing Hetzner alternatives, I’d look at the resources you actually need rather than matching a provider’s plan names. GreatHosts KVM starts at $24/month with root access, and larger tiers scale RAM, CPU and storage from there:

Hi @elonmusk are your Premium Priority Support on break? more than 24 hours without response although i was promised to get a response in 6 hours??

If CX33 isn’t available, I’d compare VPS options by the resources you actually need rather than matching a plan name. GreatHosts KVM starts at $24/month with root access, and the larger tiers scale RAM, CPU and storage from there: https://t.co/ICjANagaTV

[GreatHosts.biz @GreatHosts]

If the VPS is hitting resource limits, moving the workload to an M1 Pro can make sense, especially for browser-heavy tasks or local inference. The trade-off is that it now depends on your home power, internet and remote access. Are the agents mostly calling hosted model APIs, or running models/browsers locally?

If you’ve already completed Etsy’s DNS steps exactly, I wouldn’t keep changing records. At that point it’s reasonable to let Pattern finish provisioning/reissuing the certificate, and if it stays broken, open an Etsy support ticket with the domain and screenshots of the DNS records. Their docs say domain connection can take up to 48 hours.

For a normal website, you usually don't need to pay separately for SSL. Free DV certificates such as Let's Encrypt are widely available and many managed hosts include them automatically. Paid certificates can still make sense for specific needs. Is the site static, WordPress/PHP, or does it run a persistent app process?

A Mac mini can work well if you're fine depending on home power and internet. A small VPS stays reachable when you're away and avoids that dependency, but you still manage updates and security yourself. For the coding agents, are they calling hosted model APIs, or running models locally?

[GreatHosts.biz @GreatHosts]

That makes the sizing much clearer. GreatHosts KVM 4 is 4 GB RAM, 80 GB storage and 2 CPU cores at $24/month, so it lines up closely with the 4 GB / ~20 GB target you described. Since your current 2.6 GB includes a dev workspace and Grafana you wouldn't need in production, it looks like a reasonable starting point. If you want more memory headroom, KVM 8 is 8 GB / 160 GB.

[GreatHosts.biz @GreatHosts]

[GreatHosts.biz @GreatHosts]

With PostGIS + crawler + API in a Compose stack, you need persistent storage for the database and a host that stays up 24/7. Cloudflare Tunnel avoids exposing inbound ports, but it doesn't change those requirements. Ordinary shared hosting usually isn't a fit for Docker Compose/PostGIS. Do you know roughly how much RAM the stack uses now, or the current PostGIS database size?
