@TheMugNHL Frederic was signed for one simple reason: Bowman needed to maximize the value on the trade. If he had extended him for 3 years at that rate, that's perfectly fine. Doing it for 8 was braindead. Bowman is such a bad GM that he makes Peter Chiarelli look competent.

@TheMugNHL Frederic is a horrific contract. Knob used him up and down the lineup and he did nothing. It was a stupid contract the moment it was conceived and not a single NHL team would've signed it.
