@ei8ht_ball@TSN_Sports If they won the group they would have. Mexico and Canada should have been the same as the US, 1st or 2nd in group and stay for at least the round of 32 at home. If Mexico hadn’t won their group they wouldn’t be playing their round of 32 match in Mexico.
@JoshYohe_PGH@worldhockeyrpt Price and Rinne both had international success, which plays a role in selection, it’s the Hockey Hall of Fame not the NHL HOF. That’s why players like Vladislav Tretiak, Valeri Kharlamov and Cammi Granato are HHOF inductees as well.
@BeeTEE15 O’Brien has to be one of the worst 1st round picks in Flyers history but to be fair, no one drafted after Farabee has more points than him (7th most points of the draft class).
@phnmnl1_bitw@lilbro2oo7@Clark3288@PuckReportNHL@ThePHWA Plus it was game 7 and a 2-1 game when the PHWA would have cast their votes. Even with the historic run, I’m doubtful McDavid is awarded the Conn Smythe if Edmonton lost in 6 games.
🚨 Canada’s institutional capture is now complete.
Since 2015 the Liberals have appointed:
⚖️ 740 of 1,000 federal judges
🏛️ 7 of 9 Supreme Court justices
📜 100 of 105 senators
📰 Fund 30% of every reporter’s salary in Canada
And that’s just the foundation.
Add to that:
📺 CBC: $1.4B annually to defend the Liberal narrative
🏦 Bank of Canada: Redefining recession in real time
📊 StatsCan: Counting Census workers as permanent jobs
📬 Senate: Hiding 240,000 democratic postcards in a warehouse
🌐 Bill C-8: MPs can delete you from the internet without a judge
🎙️ Carney on tape: Admitting central bankers bypassed voters on ESG
They control the courts.
They control the Senate.
They control the Supreme Court.
They control the media funding.
They control the state broadcaster.
Now they want to control the internet.
Not one institution left standing independently.
This is not democracy.
This is managed decline with Canadian characteristics.
And most Canadians are still waiting for CBC to tell them about it.

Elon just created 4,400 millionaires in a single day.
400 of them are now worth over $100 million.
These aren't VCs. They're SpaceX employees, and the list includes welders, technicians, and cafeteria staff, because for two decades the company paid every level of the workforce in stock instead of higher salaries.
Juan Hernandez immigrated from Mexico and took a $28 an hour contractor welding job in 2015. He says he didn't even know what SpaceX was. The company gave him a $10,000 equity grant and let him buy more shares through payroll deductions. That stake is now worth $880,000.
Trevor Hise's parents wanted him to take a stable job at General Electric. He picked SpaceX instead, stayed 12 years, and accumulated over 100,000 shares. At the $135 listing price that's $13.5 million. He's 37 and semiretired. His words: "The magnitude of this has been ridiculous."
The most telling detail came before the listing. Over 100 employees quietly banded together and negotiated a group wealth management deal covering up to $5 billion, because none of them had ever needed a wealth manager before.
Software IPOs have minted millionaires for 30 years. This is the first one where the money went to the factory floor.
@Puck66@NHLTradeAlert@da94561 Okay Larkins burner, you’re a decent 2nd line center with only 1 ppg season (69 in 68), never been better than top 20 for any award, was only 4th on his team in +\- and failed to step up and lead their team to the playoffs. Instead decided to sulk because Stevy didn’t get Hughes.
@NHLTradeAlert@da94561 I’ve always said if a player requests a trade, he should have to do so officially to the team, League and NHLPA and then his NMC becomes invalid. I don’t have a problem with NMC/NTC per se but if you want out then you lose the NMC/NTC protection.
@shuperman2008@spittinchiclets Montreal was a shit show for over 20 years too, it’s only been recent. They were kept somewhat relevant for a decade thanks to Carey Price.
@cbsguy63@archerjosh89@LeafsPapi_ That’s not a thing, not with spearing, that’s why they called it “slashing”, even attempting a spear (without landing) is an automatic double minor. It’s very clear in the rule book.
@archerjosh89@cbsguy63@LeafsPapi_ Doesn’t matter about intent, attempting a spear and missing is a double-minor, it’s 5 and a game for making contact and a match penalty if it results in an injury. Should have been 5 and a game misconduct.

@Bobknowspuck95@FlyersNation I was excited for him in the draft but kid hasn’t improved at all, he has actually been on a downward trajectory, 7 goals in 38 games in the OHL in his draft +2 year is downright atrocious. 0.29 GPG in draft year to 0.18 GPG in D+2 is not the sign of a promising prospect.
