My thoughts on Bruno Guimarães situation

Legends and captains don’t walk away when things get tough—especially not off the back of a poor season. After back-to-back derby defeats and key players already leaving, this is when we need our captain the most. He should be leading the rebuild, not looking for the exit.

Ultimately it’s his decision, but if he truly cares about his legacy and status at this club, he stays, helps bed in the new players, and gives the fans and club a full season to prepare for his departure next summer. That way he leaves on his terms—after pushing us back up the table—not slipping out the back door to Arsenal after a disappointing year & too many key figures already leaving .

The club could even reward that loyalty with improved terms for one final season and give him the send-off he deserves. Right now, though, the way this situation is unfolding just doesn’t sit right with me—whether it’s the club, Bruno, or both.

I Don’t care what anyone says if Bruno leaves out the back door this summer to join Arsenal his legendary status at the club is tarnished, no matter how emotional his leaving video is or of his tears at Wembley etc

I Hope there can be compromise with Bruno & the club I.E one final season and let the fans and Bruno have a better ending to this story and journey we’ve been on together . One last push with openness that Bruno can leave next summer to club of his choosing at maybe a release clause price agreed upon by both parties .
