Why processing time goes beyond 12 mnths?

Having said that most direct employees of large comps r generally well paid(perhaps foregone promotions), but real problem starts with contractors/vendors who gets screwed w lesser pay

I responded to medical RFE 4 months ago, Nebraska center is adjudicating for four months. Finger printing was done summer 2020! Overall 485 is pending adjudication for more than one year!
