It's recognized as one of only four functional arch bridges in the state of Missouri.

Commissioner John Russell spent this morning as Principal for a Day at Glendale High School. He met with the Student Council Cabinet, stopped by several classrooms and visited with teachers and students along the way.

Greene County joined the City of Springfield and the Erlen Group today to celebrate the LeCompte Road widening and Eastgate extension, opening 411 acres for new growth. The project also realigned Farm Road 116 away from the railroad tracks.

The Greene County Commission appointed attorney and cattle producer Amy Westermann to the Planning Board during the rededication of Cave Spring Memorial Church, add deep local roots to land use decisions. "She will bring something that has been missing."

All Greene County offices, departments, and 31st Circuit judicial courts that are open to the public will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, 2026 in observance of Labor Day.

County offices will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 8:00 a.m.

Beginning Aug. 28, statutory recording fees in Greene County will increase by $2. This state-wide change is a result of the passage of Senate Bill 938. The increase applies to all recordable documents and marriage licenses. State and federal tax lien fees will remain unchanged.
