Take LIDS OFF PLASTIC BOTTLES & other containers when you recycle them. Enables the air to escape so they can be crushed down fully.

REDUCE your waste. CRUSH plastic bottles & cardboard boxes before you recycle them. The more that can fit in the bins, the better.

DON'T LITTER. In fact do the opposite. Pick up garbage when you see it. Take a bin liner to the park and clean up. Make the world better :-)

SWITCH OFF your electrical items overnight. DON'T LEAVE THEM ON STANDBY. Unless you're using them again soon, it's just a waste of energy.

USE YOUR CAR LESS. Start a car pool to work/school. Group errands together so you do less trips. Use public transport, or cycle or walk.

DON'T LEAVE THE WATER RUNNING when you are brushing your teeth/washing your face/doing the dishes. USE THE PLUG - that's what it's there for

GO VEGETARIAN FOR THE DAY. Try TOFU instead. So many benefits to your health, to the environment and to the animals.

REFILL PRINTER CARTRIDGES instead of buying new. It's cheaper & saves the environment. Take it to a shop if you don't want to do it yourself

Buy Eco-Friendly cleaning products. So many out there. Ecover for the house. BodyShop for you! Costs a bit more, but the planet deserves it!

RECYCLE. Sounds obvious, but you'd be surprised how many people are too lazy to do it. If you're one of them, please START NOW! It's so easy

Next time you buy loo roll, make sure it's made from non-bleached, recycled paper. Trust me, it doesn't feel like sand paper. You'll survive

Here's an easy one we can all do. Turn off the water in the shower while you are lathering up. Not so comfy in winter, but totally do-able.

Buy ENERGY SAVING LIGHT BULBS. I've had the same ones since 2001! They last ages, save £ & the environment! Buy 1/month if you are low on £.
