Hyundai Motor Company Motor to Sign #Hydrogen Business Agreement With KOREA SOUTHERN POWER CO., LTD.-East Power--According to Korean media sources, Hyundai Motor Group is moving to extend its hydrogen business beyond vehicles and fuel cells into power generation, with plans to sign a comprehensive business agreement with Korea South-East Power (Namdong Power) this month.

The partnership would use hydrogen produced in the Saemangeum development zone in North Jeolla Province to generate electricity — adding a new demand source to Hyundai's hydrogen value chain and pushing the automaker further into the broader energy sector. Industry sources indicate Hyundai is also exploring similar collaborations with multiple private power generation companies beyond Korea South-East Power.
