He watched her cautiously as she popped the berry in her mouth.

"How are you feeling...? Does it taste strange?"

[𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙩 @GREENGUARDlAN]

I actually think you might be the worst person to ever exist.

[ᅠᅠᅠ𝕷𝐄𝐗ᅠ . @INVENTENVY]

slightly evil , maybe . .

[𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙩 @GREENGUARDlAN]

"Well now I've gotta, since I met the woman herself." He grinned. "You said you're playing a CEO?"

[𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐑𝐀 𝐅𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑 @blazingstarlet]

Laura's back straightened some at that, a smile easily crawling its way up to her lips. "Well, hopefully if you /do/ get some time in the coming months, you'll get to see this one. Not that I'm doing self-publicity or anything."

[𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙩 @GREENGUARDlAN]

He was going to answer before she found the berries. He walked over to the bush and eyed them.

"If the berries here are anything like they are on Earth...those should be edible." He told her. "If they're like on Earth."

[𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙩 @GREENGUARDlAN]

"Well, I'm sure you're gonna kill it either way. I've loved your work in everything you're in...that I've seen, anyway. Don't get the chance to see many movies these days."

[𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐑𝐀 𝐅𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑 @blazingstarlet]

"That's what I said! But they threw that suggestion right in the bin. Said my character would be the type to wear high heels anyway. Curse of playing an executive."

[𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙩 @GREENGUARDlAN]

Longer than the Sears catalogue, actually. From its inception.

[ᅠᅠᅠ𝕷𝐄𝐗ᅠ . @INVENTENVY]

well . . no argument , but I'm hardly evil .

us."

[𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙩 @GREENGUARDlAN]

He laughed and glanced back at her. She always had a thorny attitude when she was on edge. One of the reasons John was drawn to her is because she was never afraid to speak her mind.

"Look, now that we're alone..." He said. "I think there's probably no better time to talk about+

[𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙩 @GREENGUARDlAN]

He laughed at that.

"Well, if you ask me, they should make him crouch." He looked after her. "Do some camera magic to make him look shorter."

[𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐑𝐀 𝐅𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑 @blazingstarlet]

She chuckled at the guess.

"Kind of. They did me the dishonor of hiring a tree of a man for a co-star and then deciding that big of a height gap didn't look very well on camera."

[𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙩 @GREENGUARDlAN]

He sat next to her, leaning back. He seemed relaxed, but a bit reserved.

"Why the long heels?" He asked. "Are they trying to make you a giant?"

[𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐑𝐀 𝐅𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑 @blazingstarlet]

"Seat's all open."

She huddled over to the side.

"Long day. Long scenes. Someone in the costume department thought it'd be a grand idea to give me the longest fucking heels in history and — well." She chuckled. "I guess I'm lucky /that/ is my problem today."

[𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙩 @GREENGUARDlAN]

He nodded.

"Well. Good call." He said. "Mind if I wait with you?"

John was waiting for something...comparable to an Uber, but not quite. Hers will probably be here before his.

"Busy day at the studio?" He asked her.

[𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐑𝐀 𝐅𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑 @blazingstarlet]

- day, so I'd rather sit before they write on my headstone 'died from feet pain.'"

[𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙩 @GREENGUARDlAN]

@CoquetteDancer "Run!"

Another force field as a beam of bright red magma is shot towards them. The shield manages to hold, but this one looks more difficult. His force field is slightly cracked, and the effort drained his ring's energy significantly.

me back."

[𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙩 @GREENGUARDlAN]

He noticed that, but didn't say anything. All he did was chuckle to himself.

"Well..." He said. "There's a lot of greenery here. So that means there are things eating here. Planet is habitable enough to host entire ecosystems. The atmosphere is similar enough to Earth's that +

[𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙩 @GREENGUARDlAN]

we can both breathe. Ship didn't detect any dangerous gamma radiation... we'll surely find something edible here."

He slid down the mud path that led to their shelter, into the thick brush. It's been a while since he had to survive in a jungle environment.

"This really brings+

[𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙩 @GREENGUARDlAN]

"Sorry. I'm John. John Stewart. Are you...waiting for the bus?"

[𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙩 @GREENGUARDlAN]

"Oh my God." John said.

Despite being in the presence ( the ) Laura Foster, John was pretty calm. He was never one to freak out or let himself get carried away.

"I thought it was an exaggeration when they say you can find someone famous on every corner in this town." He mused.+

[𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐑𝐀 𝐅𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑 @blazingstarlet]

She's gonna have to ask for a change in outfit for the next scene. Those heels killed her feet. Laura moves to take a seat by the bench, noting the man — regular man who ogles anything that walks past him, or recognition? It rather feels like the latter. He looks surprised.

[𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙩 @GREENGUARDlAN]

John just happens to be crossing the street as she gets to the bus stop.

As he approaches, he does a double take.

Is that really-?

[𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐑𝐀 𝐅𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑 @blazingstarlet]

Dropping off her phone into her purse, Laura loiters near the bus stop.

Long day of shooting.

Every bone in her body craves rest. May the Uber get here fast.

[𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙩 @GREENGUARDlAN]

@CoquetteDancer "You might have to reschedule." He mused, looking out to the direction she brought his attention to.

It was someone - John didn't recognize him - wearing red and glowing red. He noticed the uniform.

"Run." He told her.
