Calling the mother of one’s children “mother” isn’t anything inherently gross, it just means that said person is the mother of the kids.

This character is awful: I grew up with people like her, who treat others like abject trash and then weep and wail when they’re caught, bleating on and on about “my life is over” if they get brought to justice.
