When high salinity and low-cost heat are available, Membrane Distillation (MD) becomes the smarter low-energy choice.
GreenPebble Technologies' proprietary and highly energy-efficient SEPION hollow fiber membrane distillation is an excellent choice for cases where regular desalination or multi-stage evaporation struggle- for applications such as RO brine concentrates, valuable minerals (i.e. Li) bearing streams, high purity water generation or thermal waste reuse in the data center cooling.
Key factors for MD design considerations :
• Operating temperature: 40–85°C, enabling use of low-grade industrial heat.
• Recovery rates: typically 60–90% depending on feed and end goals.
• Energy profile: lower electrical demand than thermal evaporation and better energy profile than multi-stage desalination when waste heat is used.
• Resource recovery: efficient concentration of salts and selective capture of valuable ions like lithium.
Benefits:
• Improved energy-efficiency and decreased O&M costs when integrating waste heat.
• Smaller brine volumes and easier downstream handling. Excellent quality distillates.
• Flexible modular design for retrofit or new builds.

Do you deal with the landfill leachate wastewater problem?
This harmful wastewater forms when rainwater flows through waste. It carries toxins that threaten the environment and compliance.
Industries, businesses, OEM and government agencies face an enormous challenge due to landfill leachates. Leachate varies in its nature. Treatment costs are high. Regulations grow stricter. Environmental costs know no limits.
Our latest post covers advanced membrane technologies. Some of our advanced membranes remove over 95% of contaminants with around 90% wastewater recovery. The membranes are chemical and fouling-resistant, giving a wide operational window.
Our membrane solutions offer sustainable leachate wastewater treatment, recycling and reuse. They achieved full regulatory compliance.
Conventional methods have their own limitations, and our new approach gives a new direction. The post offers practical ideas.

How Advanced Membranes Can Cut Water Use for Data Centers Without Raising Energy Bills?
AI data centers are becoming major water users. Cooling high-density computing generates large and continuous demand, especially when evaporative or liquid cooling is involved. In water-stressed regions, this is now a business risk, not just an environmental concern.
The membrane-based systems offer water recycling that is predictable, controllable, and economically defensible. Water, energy, and cost are always linked.
Here is how it can be put in place.
To begin, meticulously measure all components. A comprehensive water and heat balance is paramount. Without quantification, it is impossible to effectively manage the situation.
Second, reduce fresh water intake before chasing zero water goals. Reuse cooling tower blowdown, capture HVAC condensate, and increase reuse cycles safely.
Third, use membrane technologies when they're due.
• Nanofiltration reduces scaling and cuts energy use.
• RO removes the salts and generates fresh water.
• Forward Osmosis (FO) recovers water from difficult streams.
• Membrane Distillation (MD) turns waste heat into usable water.
Used together, these systems can push water recovery above 85-90% while keeping energy and operating costs under control.
The trade-off between water and energy does not disappear. It becomes manageable when engineered correctly.
Data centers that treat water as infrastructure, not a utility expense, will have lower risk, better compliance, and stronger long term resilience.
If water sustainability is part of your data center roadmap, the conversation needs to move from targets to engineering.

@Iyervval True, indigenous or babugenous- it is. Let the L1 bidder win, after competing against at least 3 others with same specs. Ofcourse, they must all meet the PQ of having deployed similar 3 JEs with successful 5 years of operations.
