If, like me, you're religious, and, also like me, you're trying to create something, this podcast episode is a must-listen (regardless of your faith tradition): https://t.co/tdKxMzY6iC
Added two bosses to my #indiegame! The first is the Diminish and the second is Pentomino. Both reduce the amount of time you have to cover the core's field while also limiting your access to the pieces you normally have access to!

Spent this week vastly improving the UI. Still a lot of work to be done, but I'm really happy with the visual indicators showing the current status of everything
#monogame#indiedev#screenshotsaturday
I'm staying up way too late to work on this kind of thing
But I also love how my UI is starting to become more polished so whatever lol

@KiriArc_Games ¡Muchas gracias! Antes, toda la información era juntada en un lugar y casi no servía para nada. Me gusta oír que se comunica el estado del juego mejor.
Ahora para refinarla...
@Jebbester Thank you! I've noticed it takes some time for players to grasp it, but they tend to enjoy it as they figure it out
It's how to keep it fun once they've figured it out that I'm trying to figure out now lol
I added bosses to my #fallingblock#indiegame! This one, the gravity boss, causes gravity to change randomly and that only items that change gravity spawn on the board.
Also the game gets faster the less health you have now
#monogame#solodev
@Jebbester Iteration is key, that's for sure!
I admit that I thought that the 1 and 2 indicated the number of targets or range at first. Maybe roman numerals would help convey that it's a spell level? EarthBound/FF don't use numbers to indicate spell level, so that's worth considering
@octagon_sun and to be sure, this is REALLY cool stuff, but I think it'd be better in, say, some Mario 64-style game where you have these little highly detailed sandboxes and the size you are changes how you interact with the sandbox
kinda like tiny huge island or whatever it's called
@octagon_sun I once had a coworker who was fairly derisive of the trend of making everything in games 4k. It only matters for things that are right in your face, which is barely any of the game content. As soon as things are a couple of feet away, you got the same level of detail as 1080p
The giveaway did well so I'm running it back!
Retweet+follow and I'll give away another copy of Dark Deity 2 to someone who did!
👑The winner for round 1 was @VictorFioriHD!👑
If we can hit 25k wishlists on Dark Deity 3 I'll give away 5 more copies of DD2!
Giveaway time!
Too busy with the newborn to put real marketing together so retweet this and follow and I'll come back in a few days and give someone who did a Steam key for Dark Deity 2!
Also wishlist Dark Deity 3 if you like Strategy RPGs from tiny teams!
Playable aircraft: F/A-18F Super Hornet
A carrier-based, twin-seat strike fighter developed as a redesign of the F/A-18. Major changes to the design of the airframe were made with the goal of providing greater cruising range and weapons payload capacity, and to account for the aircraft's increased size and stealth features.
this is why you always put in the proper state changes, kids #indiedev#gamedev#monogame#fallingblocks
(Working on implementing hard drops in my four-directional Tetris-inspired falling block puzzle game)
"I am just as ready to die in defending the rights of a Presbyterian, a Baptist, or a good man of any other denomination; for the same principle which would trample upon the rights of the Latter-day Saints would trample upon the rights (others)"
Joseph Smith
I spent a good portion of this week adding sound effects to the game, but I didn't like the results. So it's back to square one with that...
But at least I've been able to add proper input prompts on the play screen now!
