Evidence from tooth wear, enamel preservation, and comparisons with modern reptiles suggests it likely had lips that covered its teeth when its mouth was closed, much like many living lizards.

Researchers also think T. rex had exceptional eyesight. Its forward-facing eyes provided strong depth perception, and its visual acuity may have rivaled or even exceeded that of modern birds of prey. Combined with a powerful sense of smell and good hearing, T. rex was likely one of the most effective predators ever to walk the Earth.

The famous "don't move" scene in Jurassic Park was based on scientific ideas that were still being debated when the novel and film were created. Today, most paleontologists think a real T. rex would have had no trouble spotting a motionless human standing in the open.

So basically, they're more terrifying in real life than in the movies...
