Inclusive India: Leaving No One Behind
The Government of India is advancing a vision of social and economic inclusion, aiming to break the cycle of poverty with dignity.
From livelihoods to health, education to financial inclusion—the focus is clear:
➡ Build resilience
➡ Ensure equity
➡ Enable self-reliance for every household
As part of this vision, Bihan- Chhattisgarh SRLM,Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Government of Chhattisgarh, hosted the launch of Samaveshi Aajeevika Yojana (CG-SAY), a mission-driven initiative bringing together state departments, civil society organisations, and community institution to drive the initiative at scale.
This marks a significant step in translating intent into impact—governance with empathy, action with inclusion. 🇮🇳

As we recommit to the SDGs and their underlying promise to #LeaveNoOneBehind, it's important to recognize and account for the web of overlapping constraints that effectively "trap" people in poverty. Learn how governments can reach those furthest behind: https://t.co/dutMraFdZu
It was great to connect with HE President Ramos Horta of #TimorLeste at #LDC5 to discuss Graduation and other economic inclusion efforts. Looking forward to continuing the conversation! @Shameran@BRACworld
I don’t fully understand this graph yet, but it won’t stop me from retweeting this critical point. Investments that meet or exceed certain thresholds have sustained returns smaller incremental investments often do not
A trap view of poverty means social protection is an investment not recurrent expenditure. The more we invest in enhancing productive capacity of the poorest through carefully designed big push, the more we can manage to protect against other shocks.

A rare positive story out of the horrors of Afghanistan - and a powerful example of Rwandan hospitality. African nations continue to bear an immense burden of refugees from neighbouring countries and from further afield. @RestIsPolitics
Thank you JEEVika team led by @rahulias6 for the visit last month @Shameran@BRACworld
How can Governments scale with quality? Colleague Bobby Irven reflects on what he saw in Bihar https://t.co/0ypIci2RHz
Research from @WorldBank and @poverty_action in Niger found that psychosocial support in the form of coaching & community engagement to be key to Graduation's cost-effectiveness & program impact.
