@anne_engineer Well, the first red flag is any claim that something is bug free! There is no such thing as “bug free”. Anything that is claimed to be “bug free”, simply hasn’t been used in an edge case that the developer hasn’t thought of yet! 🤓

@lutefiskguy @eevblog I think it is possibly debatable. I’ve had various pieces of clothing damaged by pegs (in the wind). So much so, that I often choose the dryer as the least damaging drying solution. 🤔

@mikelectricstuf @JLCPCB Interesting. My currently shipped PCB order is at a similar ‘Y’ number (Y197). But, when I look back at my order history there are gaps, sometime jumping by 2 or 3. So, I’m wondering if a ‘Y’ number gets consumed every time you “add to cart”? 🤔

@steveMmattison @robin7331 If you do small run SMD projects, or, you make prototypes for big run SMD projects, then you definitely need one! Pixel Pump is an awesome solution!

@matseng That’s interesting too. Having made the PCB’s that mounting choice is obviously an afterthought. It only leaves the question: Did he have to add these for reliable operation, or, did he just do it due to popular demand? 🤔

@robin7331 To be honest, although I’d enjoy assembling my own one, the primary driver (as a hobbies / maker) would defiantly be the price. I bought mine from the original crowd funding, which even then was hard for me to really justify. But I was also keen to support your hard work! 🤓

I indeed use a symbol, in addition to a GND label.

Without a symbol to terminate, it does look like an unconnected schematic trace. 🤔

@Mirko_DIY What mistake? To simplify the routing of those two signals, you could presumably just swap the GPIO14 & GPIO15 use in software. Or, just route it differently. I’ve never sent a PCB for manufacture with incomplete connections, as I use a schematic and DRC. 🤓

@Mister_Who_Pub @Mirko_DIY Doesn’t this just add to the confusion? So, with your projects, the external Tx connector can be either an input or an output, depending on how the internal PCB was assembled. Argh! 😳

@robin7331 I’ve lost count of the number of times my productivity has been impacted by say Yes to an update while working on a project. I never learn the “if it ain’t broke…”. Unnecessary updates should be done later! Always, later! 😎
