Gold is a 2016 American epic crime drama film directed by Stephen Gaghan and written by Patrick Massett and John Zinman. The film stars Matthew McConaughey, Édgar Ramírez, Bryce Dallas Howard, Corey Stoll, Toby Kebbell, Craig T. Nelson, Stacy Keach and Bruce Greenwood. Gold is a 1974 British action-thriller directed by Peter R. Hunt, starring Roger Moore and Susannah York. Emotional waves felt as everyone learned the news.

Growing up as a teenager Dolly was one of my favs, and her numbers with Kenny Rogers are legendary, and I was so elated when I discovered 'Headlock On My Heart' featuring Hulk Hogan, another hero of mine, in the mid 80's.

This one hit hard, despite never meeting the beautiful soul. Her spirit and joy would light up the world. It has been often said and written that the greatest gift another can give is the gift of happiness and joy, and in this Dolly was an angel on Earth.

The news has changed the morning schedule for many, including us, to take time to pause, remember, and even share stories, feelings and the like.

There is no officially released film titled Once Upon a Time in Hollywood 2, but there is a sequel project in development titled The Adventures of Cliff Booth, written by Quentin Tarantino and directed by David Fincher. It focuses on Cliff Booth, played by Brad Pitt, who reprises his Oscar-winning role from the original 2019 film. The story follows Booth as a Hollywood studio fixer, set some time after the events of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The cast includes Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Carla Gugino, JB Taken, Corey Fogelmanis, and Timothy Olyphant. David Fincher to Direct Brad Pitt in ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ Netflix Follow-Up From a Tarantino Script

David Fincher is directing a sequel to “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” with Quentin Tarantino writing the follow-up to his Oscar-winning epic. Variety confirms the project, which does not have an official title, is being set up at Netflix, where Fincher has a first-look deal. Brad Pitt will reprise his role as stuntman and potential wife-killer Cliff Booth.

It’s an especially unique production — not only because a high-profile director is helming a sequel to another high-profile director’s film, but also because of the property’s shift from a theatrical studio to a streamer. (The shift is especially pertinent as news of the project emerged during the movie theater industry’s annual weeklong gathering at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.) “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” was released by Sony Pictures in 2019, but Tarantino negotiated a deal that would return him ownership of the film’s underlying copyright after a number of years. David Fincher’s Newest Film Will Premiere in IMAX Before Debuting on Netflix

Mark your calendars, because director David Fincher’s latest film will be coming to IMAX theaters globally for an exclusive two-week run starting Nov. 25, before debuting on Netflix on Dec. 23.

Brad Pitt returns to his Academy Award-winning role as Cliff Booth, only this time it’s 1977 and it’s a very different Hollywood. Directed by David Fincher from a screenplay by Quentin Tarantino, the film also stars Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Peter Weller, Matt Groove, JB Tadena, Corey Fogelmanis, and Karren Karagulian, and will be produced by Pitt and Ceán Chaffin.

In addition to Pitt and Chaffin, the film’s creative team includes Fincher’s longtime collaborators, like Erik Messerschmidt, ASC, as director of photography, and Donald Graham Burt as production designer. It’s edited by Kirk Baxter, ACE, with casting by Laray Mayfield. Trish Summerville is costume designer, Ren Klyce is sound designer, and Dave Macomber is stunt coordinator.

The crypto market has broken out of its consolidation

Market Overview

The cryptocurrency market has risen by almost 8% over the past 24 hours to $2.37T, reaching its highest level since early June. The initial momentum came on the back of news that the US Treasury was supporting the debt market. This relatively small but timely move signalled that the government is monitoring the situation in the debt markets, spurring demand for risk assets. The rally was then fuelled by a wave of short-covering, following weeks of extremely narrow trading.

Bitcoin reached $70K, posting a 9% rally over 8 hours during the US trading session. As the new day began, the leading cryptocurrency retreated slightly to $69.6K. On Monday, BTC consolidated above the 50-day moving average, and by Wednesday, it had already tested the 200-day MA. As expected, the market’s long-compressed spring snapped back, catching those who had been range-trading and those who had been building short positions on the rise off guard. If Bitcoin does not quickly lose its recent gains, it will be a significant sign that a bull market has begun, much like in October 2023 or March 2020.

Ethereum recorded an even more impressive breakout, showing an 18% gain over 24 hours at its peak. Having risen to $2.25K, the second-largest cryptocurrency is trading near its April–May highs, having broken above its 200-day moving average and away from a long-term support line that has risen from around $1.75K to $1.9K over the past 8 months. The next significant level where the coin may face resistance to further gains appears to be the $2.5K–$2.8K range. (FxPro)

Crypto: Bears remain in control

Market Overview

The crypto market has lost just over 2% compared to its level seven days ago. However, there were signs of a positive trend on Monday, as the market capitalisation rebounded from a local low of $2.16T to $2.18T. The market continues to hover around its 50-day moving average, consolidating within a very narrow range despite the weakening dollar and a rally in the equity market. Among the top cryptocurrencies over the past 24 hours, the top gainers were Zcash (+4.8%), Dash (+2.4%) and Near Protocol (+1%). Declines affected roughly twice as many coins, with the biggest losses seen in Cosmos (-3.8%), Aptos (-2.7%) and Filecoin (-2%).

Bitcoin has been trading below its 50-day moving average for the fourth day in a row, after an earlier attempt to break above it, followed by a pullback to $63.3K. On weekly timeframes, the leading cryptocurrency remains below the 200-week MA. Thus, the bears are confirming their dominance in both the medium-term and ultra-long-term trends. It will only be possible to speak of a breakout from consolidation and expect increased volatility once the price breaks out of the $62–65K range.

Under a new methodology, the Bitcoin treasuries of Strategy and Metaplanet could be excluded from MSCI indices for holding non-operating assets. No decision has been made yet, and MSCI is gathering feedback until 30 September, promising to publish the results by 16 October. JPMorgan previously estimated a potential outflow from Strategy’s securities under such a scenario at $2.8 billion.

According to estimates from Miner Weekly, public Bitcoin miners have reduced their hash rate by 21 per cent over three quarters due to redeploying capacity to AI infrastructure. The current decline is attributed to a weak mining economy and competition for capital and electricity from the AI sector.

FG Nexus, which held 50,000 ETH, sold off its entire cryptocurrency holdings and wound up its Ethereum strategy less than a year after its launch. The total net loss from holding crypto assets reached $45.2 million. Income from staking amounted to just $144,000.

Hyperscale Data has reduced its Bitcoin reserves to approximately 275 BTC after selling around 685 BTC. The proceeds will be used to develop a data centre in Michigan, service debt and cover other expenses. The company will continue to mine Bitcoin and expects to build up its reserves over time.

News Corp chief hits out at 'AI slop'

News Corporation has posted 2025-26 revenue of $US9.03bn, which is seven per cent higher than previously. Full-year EBITDA across the media group's market segments rose by 15 per cent to $US1.63bn. CEO Robert Thomson notes that News Corp's revenue has now increased for 12 consecutive quarters, while EBITDA has risen in each of the last 13 months. Meanwhile, Thomson says News Corp will comtinue to take "aggressive" action against technology companies and artificial intelligence platforms that use its content without paying for it. Gold seems to have completed its corrective pullback

Last week, gold posted a modest July gain, which has already given buyers a significant boost this week. With prices up 6.5% since the start of the week, gold has confirmed a major technical breakout, bringing to an end the downtrend that began in February. The price rebounded from the key psychological level of $4,000 – where the correction also ended last October – and from the 61.8% retracement of the 2022–2026 rally, reinforcing the significance of the reversal signal.

The bulls also have the strength with which gold broke through the 50-day moving average earlier this week in their favour; this average had served as support for the uptrend since the start of 2025, before turning into local resistance in March. If this is not a false breakout, this line could once again act as support for the medium-term bullish trend.

That said, on weekly timeframes, the bulls still need to do some groundwork. During the latest rally, the price approached but failed to break through the 50-week moving average – an important signal line for the long-term trend. It currently stands near $4,400, whilst at $4,500, there is another potential area of resistance that reversed the trend in December and March.

All things considered, we expect an interesting battle in gold this coming week, with the struggle intensifying following the release of US CPI and PPI data. The path to 4,500 may prove relatively easy, but beyond that, we should brace ourselves for a very significant tug-of-war.

The filing noted that this value is “primarily” driven by one investment, which is a reference to Alphabet’s stake in Anthropic, according to a person familiar with the matter, who asked not to be identified because the information is not public. The company said it recorded about $US77 billion in unrealised gains from its private investments in the second quarter, without providing further details in the filing. Rio Tinto has dodged two 'bullets' due to Glencore's rejection of a merger proposal: a possible BHP takeover bid and a dangerous acquisition.
