Last weekend's https://t.co/ek9T9IXhFm assignment had Susan & me traveling 20 miles from home. This weekend's assignment is 2000 miles. 🤷 But we are excited to go to San Francisco and come alongside the everyday missionaries of St. Philip, Dublin! Jesus on the move! 🫡
Ben Sasse is so refreshing because he's a committed, credible conservative who challenges Congress to make the tough decisions rather than cowardly punting policy to the White House, sitting on social media, and owning the libs.
He's also a deeply committed Christian who promotes community, love, tolerance, and humility rather going on hateful, unhinged rants against immigrants, LGBTs, foreigners, and liberals.
That's the GOP I once belonged to, and the church I once respected, before both were overtaken by angry, hateful fanatics. It's nice to see that such frameworks are still possible. Ben has always been such a great guy, I hope he can keep progressing against this cancer. ❤️
The events in Minneapolis are incredibly disturbing. The credibility of ICE and DHS are at stake. There must be a full joint federal and state investigation. We can trust the American people with the truth.
It's 2026 and time for Susan and me to hit the road again! This weekend's https://t.co/ek9T9IXPuU assignment has us in H-Town to work with the board and staff of Trinity Downtown. I'm also looking forward to preaching there on Sunday and connecting with friends.
Are you going to be at Best Practices February 12-14? I will be, too!
I’d love to carve out some time for intentional one-on-one conversations during BPM about how to move your people forward in mission and discipleship.
May 2026 bring more firepit hangs
more porch conversations
more laughing til crying
more “just checking in”
more sharing tasty meals
more loving our neighbors
This weekend's chilly https://t.co/ek9T9IXhFm assignment has me at Messiah; Holt, MI to take the leaders through a First-Step Leadership Retreat. The outcome? A simple, biblical strategy for consistently preparing their people to join Jesus on His mission in their everyday lives.
This Giving Tuesday, let your gift go twice as far!
If you like what we do, will you help us do what we do by taking part in the gift match challenge? 🙌
If you like what we do, will you help us do what we do?
Thanks to an incredibly generous gift match challenge, your gift to Dwelling 1:14 will go twice as far this Giving Tuesday 🙌
“Love your neighbor.”
Jesus doesn’t want us just memorizing it, discussing it, or reciting it in the original Greek.
He wants us to do it.
It feels like a good day to get off the internet & find a way to tangibly love your neighbor, doesn’t it?
My first D114 assignment of the fall is to Kansas City. The goal? Hammer out with the leaders a clear, biblical process for preparing/discipling their people to participate in accomplishing the mission as a dailylifestyle. Their community needs a congregation with this priority.
