Seven big AI moves by Big Tech in July 2023:

1/ Google founder Sergey Brin has returned to Google to help lead AI. I gained access to Google's generative search this week.
2/ Apple is rumored to be developing their own Foundational Model.
3/ Meta Facebook launched the open-source Llama2.
4/ Nvidia has backed Inflection AI, making it the second-largest supercomputer in the world.
5/ Microsoft has invested in Inflection AI and backed Llama2.
6/ Twitter Musk announced X ai.
7/ Amazon is expected to launch the Titan Foundational Model, already rolled out Bedrock, GenAI cohort in SF

In addition, don't forget that Anthropic launched Claud2 and OpenAI is backed by Microsoft and Scale had a massive hackathon last weekend in SF.
