DEVELOPING - THE END OF THE ROAD FOR NIKKI HALEY: This is not yet in the news, but tonight, Nikki Haley will drop out of the presidential race.

NOTE: Last night, Donald Trump won North Dakota Republican caucuses, taking all its 29 delegates, and bringing his total number of delegates to 273 ahead of Super Tuesday, today, March 5, 2024.

NOTE: Haley won Washington DC on Sunday winning all its 19 delegates and bringing her total number of delegates to 43. DeSantis and Vivek, who have already dropped out have 9 and 3 delegates respectively.

NOTE - SO WHERE DO WE STAND TODAY? With 865 Republican delegates up for grabs in 15 states, Super Tuesday represents a significant portion of the nomination contest.

NOTE: If Trump were to win all 865 delegates available on Super Tuesday, he would add those to his current count of 273, bringing him to a total of 1,138 delegates. To secure the nomination, he would then need 77 more delegates to reach the threshold of 1,215.

NOTE: Nikki Haley will have no choice tonight but to drop out, the end of the road for her.

NOTE: Let me summarize again: Former President Donald Trump, the front-runner, has already secured 273 delegates, making significant progress toward the 1,215 threshold needed to clinch the nomination.
