A very humbling night shift last night. Welcomed a healthy baby boy into the world. Within a few hours helped ensure a lovely elderly patient was able to pass away at home peacefully with dignity as she came to the end of life... and it was a privilege to be a part of both 💚

last couple of months, the state of the equipment, handles and general condition of @JDGymsHull has become appalling. Handles have no rubber on the grips, there’s been a smith machine broken for a month plus other bits of kit. Pure gym opening over the road, need to step up

Thinking of all my colleagues up and down the country, police ambulance and fire as they deal with the aftermath and some of the awful attacks on emergency services during the protests/rioting. No one should be targeting our police to make a point. They’re humans too.

Had someone come view the house with her baby boy last week. She submitted an asking price offer less than 12 hours later, and then posted this through the door the next day. I couldn’t be happier about who I’m selling the house to.. what a sweetheart 🥹

Unfortunately Lee has passed. It was a pleasure to know and share some of my career journey with this bloke. He’s leaving behind many who will miss him dearly.

@helloimnicholas My best mate is Turkish - first time I ever had Turkish coffee at his mum’s house, I didn’t expect to drink the grounds at the bottom. But Turkish coffee is like rocket fuel!

Watched the last two episodes of ‘One Day’ with my other half this evening.
There was lots of tears - they mostly came from me - I’m post nights on 4 hours sleep. I don’t know why we watch these shows after a run of nights because they GET TO ME..
but what a great show 🙏🏻

It’s a true full moon Saturday night tonight! 😬 and to make it better, I’ve had a threatened migraine since about 7pm, half way through the shift relying on my red bull, and I just dropped my laptop out of the car door and it cracked the back panel off 🫠

@MsSC1986 Thank you! I’m trying to do exactly that and I’m comparing myself to where I was when I was feeling 100% this time last year. Tough mental battle to remind myself it’s temporary!

I have been injured for 7 months, having not lifted any weights since July. It’s getting me down massively. A tear in my rotator cuff, closely followed by bursitis of my knee…
I’ve lost my whole routine and almost a stone of healthy weight. How much longer 😩

@helloimnicholas So demoralising isn’t it.
I’m trying to train around my shoulder but I can literally do nothing upper body. So I’m trying to focus on my legs, but if I do more than one session a week it’s aggravating my knee. Got an appointment in February with the MSK team for imaging 🤞🏻

@DrKidneyAsh I did manage to get an appointment in fairness.. but I’ve been referred to see the MSK team - allegedly a 6-9 month wait. Think I’m going to have to try fund a scan privately!

6 Months of physio on my shoulder - she suspects rotator cuff tear. She writes and submits a lengthy referral letter to my GP surgery for a scan November. They refer to radiology. Radiology need me to be seen my GP to understand why.
No appointments yesterday. Caller 42 today 🥲

I don’t have the heart to correct someone when they getting my name wrong (happens more often than you think… Craig/Graham/George usually)
Just sat in a meeting with a hospital matron who kept referring to me as Glenn to a team of 6. I will now change my name by law for ease.
