@GhostAndSkaterr@itskyleconner Unsprung mass is the reason hub/wheel motors will never be used in mass-production vehicles.
It's simpler to use single motor attached to diff with CV joints and drive shafts than it is to get a suspension system that rides well with so much unsprung mass.
@MobileSyrup I got a pair of $35 60GB+30GB right now through win-back offers a few months ago. I'm not sure if you can even go any cheaper right now, let alone for a decent amount of data.
@mikelectricstuf@Hyundai_UK@FullyChargedShw People often don't realize that the fuse is there to protect the wires, not the devices and that its location relative to potential current sources is critical.
@meowinghobbes@ronmortgageguy PP won't do shit either. If you think things are going to get fixed by a conservative government magically, you are in for disappointment after he is elected.
@MobileSyrup What Quebecor has done in the last few years is quite impressive. The cost per GB of mobile data has dropped significantly since the acquisition.
In just two years, I went from paying $50 for 20GB with Rogers to $40 for 60 GB with Rogers.
@ItsDeanBlundell As much as I agree with the sentiment, his quote has always bothered me.
Averages dont work that way.
If outliers skew more to one side, more than half of a sample group can be above or below the average.

@razor4l@colinmckerrache The oil industry is very anti-capitalist. It is controlled by oligopolies and cartels everywhere.
Solar, wind, and battery storage can be small and competitive.
Startups breed innovation that is the lifeblood of capitalism, which dies when Monopolies, oligarchs and Cartels rule.
@razor4l@colinmckerrache Oil will run out.
The planet will burn.
There will be famine and wars.
We who have the means to do so need to invest in the future without oil so we can continue to survive after all that.
@razor4l@colinmckerrache IMO, Catastrophic climate change is inevitable, but so is carbon-free energy.
The only way quality of life goes up from here is with carbon-free energy. It's going to be a bumpy road to get there, though.
@razor4l@colinmckerrache It will be cheaper to capture and store 1Wh of energy from the Sun, Wind, or Water than to dig it out of the ground and burn it.
Very broadly, QoL correlates with total energy usage.
We can lower the cost of energy by transitioning away from fossil fuels without effecting QoL
@razor4l@colinmckerrache We are just a frog in the pot, and the water is about to boil.
The problem is that climate change will most affect the poorest countries. We in the West will see the impacts, but throwing money at the problems will line the pockets of some while offsetting the worst of it here.
@razor4l@colinmckerrache The longer we wait, the bigger the projects need to be.
A "climate war" may just be the catalyst for something to seriously start happening.
One thing is for certain, though: Energy companies will continue to make as much money as possible for as long as possible.
