@Sassafrass_84 Pt.2
If you believe in redemption, and the possibility people can truly change, then you should believe in second chances. Not for everyone, it should be earned, but I think there should be that possibility.
He absolutely should be locked up, but let's see who he is in 20 years.
@Sassafrass_84 Pt.1.
I am rather torn on the subject. I work in the prison system, and while some of them should never be let out, I personally know people who committed murder who should be let go, because they are completely different people now....
@1OreoSpeedwagon@DataRepublican@grahamformaine You idiots repeatedly had the chance to primary her and replace her with a more conservative candidate, but you have not been able to. She is what you've got. Planner will not make any of that better. Find a good, conservative candidate and win a primary.
@CynicalPublius You forgot to add: "if you are conservative." Lefties and Democrats should be forced to stay. There are literally those so dim they don't realize they are the cause of their own consequences. Those need to stay.
@SpeakerWelchIL@MeetThePress@kwelkernbc Sorry, she is crooked, and stupid. Nothing to do with her race, EVERYTHING to do with her bias and politics.
And you are an idiot for trying to defend her.
I am embarrassed for my home state that it is represented by such as you.
@BradRTorgersen Not so sure. Much of my early historical reading and research on WWII revolved around the Post-Kursk offensive of the Red Army. Certainly D-Day was the Nail in the Coffin for Germany, but I don't think there was any possibility of a cease fire in the East.
@BradRTorgersen@JWhitebread1 (Pt.3) Scripture is pretty plain on that point, and I have shut-down several arguments by citing it. But it cuts both ways. Much as I wish Fradd would stop on this topic, he has value in other things he covers, and going after him for this is the same thing he is doing.
@BradRTorgersen@JWhitebread1 (Pt.2) I think Fradd is not just wrong, but going way off the reservation as a Christian when he goes after Mormons. It's pretty simple: if you believe Christ is the Son of God, and that he died for your sins, you are a Christian, period...
@BradRTorgersen@JWhitebread1 I have listened to him a bit, and ai might be wrong, but I don't think he said he hates Mormons. I myself an Southern Baptist, but not part of the Convention. I have great respect for Mormons, and think a lot of other Christians do too... (Pt.1)
The reason I despise credentialism so much is because I have the credentials myself, I know how hollow they are, and I understand that more often than not credentials are used as an appeal to authority when logic and facts do not suffice.
Best all-time comment on the subject.
Journalism has never been about covering stories, it's about pushing narratives.
Everybody has a bias, and unless you acknowledge and disclose it upfront, you are nothing but a propagandist.
