Two immigration bills in Maryland are set to become law — without Gov. Moore’s signature. One limits local cooperation with ICE, the other restricts sharing personal data for immigration enforcement. Supporters call it protection. Critics warn of public safety concerns.
@7NewsDC
@vivian39_@flywithkamala I’d love to earn your support, please feel free to send me a message if you have any questions or suggestions for my campaign!
The new DC Health Data shows a 30 year discrepancy in life expectancy.
In a time where people globally are living longer, this is extremely concerning and my neighborhood is listed as 3rd from the bottom. I can’t help but to notice how many others ranked lower are also east of the river. To change health outcomes, we need healthier food options, access to quality healthcare, fitness opportunities, improved walkability coupled with real job opportunities.
This is another reminder of the inequities in our city and the importance of electing an At-Large Council-member that understands these challenges and prepared to address them. If elected, I will be the first At-Large from Ward 8 in DC History.
DC Residents,
As a candidate for DC Council at Large, my commitment is to make DC a safer, more affordable place where ALL can thrive. I am committed to building a real public safety strategy and investments to make our communities safer. I will work to shift the philosophy of the DC Council to make DC a better place for small businesses to open, thrive and create jobs. I am committed to protecting and expanding resources for our youth, both education and recreation to ensure our future generations are better prepared for the real world. Additionally, I will build power within Congress to protect Home Rule and strengthen the coalition fighting for DC Statehood.
I know I’m the best candidate to accomplish that, but in an environment with 8 other candidates and rank choice voting, I encourage my supporters to consider ranking Candace Tiana Nelson and Lisa Raymond high on your list for DC Council At-Large.
At a time when our city faces significant challenges around affordability, public safety, economic opportunity, and trust in government, I believe Candace and Lisa bring the integrity, experience, compassion, and vision necessary to move our communities forward.
Candace Tiana Nelson has demonstrated a deep commitment to government service, equity, and community-centered leadership. Her ability to connect policy and government with the real needs of residents makes her a powerful voice for families, working people, and neighborhoods across the District.
Lisa Raymond has long been recognized as a thoughtful and results-oriented leader who understands how to bring people together to solve problems, especially in education. Her dedication to public service and improving quality of life for residents reflects the kind of steady leadership our city needs right now.
Together, Candace, Lisa and I represent a new generation of leadership grounded in experience, collaboration, accountability, and action. We understand that effective leadership is not about talking points, it is about delivering meaningful results for the people they serve.
During this critical time for the District, I encourage residents to support my run for DC Council and consider highly ranking Candace Tiana Nelson and Lisa Raymond.
Less talk, more action.
Sincerely,
Greg Jackson Jr.
Candidate, DC Council At-Large
My major priorities are making DC safer through advancing solutions from my robust policy experience preventing violent crime, making DC more affordable by focusing on better supporting home owners, as well as increasing the number affordable housing units…lastly I want to prioritize more resources for our youth to succeed from both education and recreation. I welcome any questions!
When Trump first came for DC’s rights, the Democratic Party called me. After over a decade serving DC, I’m committed to defending DC as your Councilmember At-Large.
We need a Council prepared to defend our rights, home rule and fight for statehood.

Less talk! #explorepage #dc
Some I-95 news you might have missed: @MayorBMScott recently endorsed Dem D.C. Council at-large candidate @GregoryJackson.
Scott, who's found great success in reducing gun violence in Tubman City, touted Jackson's work in that realm. @WashInformer
Safer cities don’t happen by accident. They happen through leadership and real partnerships.
Baltimore has seen historic reductions in violent crime, and Greg Jackson has worked alongside Mayor Brandon Scott to make that progress possible.
Mayor Scott knows I brings people together, builds solutions that work, and helps communities get real results.
That’s the kind of leadership DC needs right now.
Less talk. More action.
Super excited to share our education agenda! Investing into our youth is essential to ensure the future of this great District. Our future leaders deserve an educational setting that ensures their prosperity. #education#dc#lesstalkmoreaction
