Don’t have a sample funded F31, F32, K99/R00? Well now you don’t need to know someone who got one to see one. Now sharing funded and completed grants with score sheets. Plan on adding funded R24s, R25s, and R01s soon (after co-PI and collaborators approve) https://t.co/NWWOIQuprE
@JadenHossler Instantly thought of the strokes when I heard it and then did a search to see if other people thought the same, which led me to this tweet 😆
I thought ppl were being a little harsh about him speaking on things where he’s not an expert (a common academic critique), but this is a pretty fundamental misunderstanding for someone who is supposed to both analyze data and interpret statistical info for the public
Can others please share a course evaluation comment you got this year that made you feel proud of your students or yourself? Let’s share in each others wins (which helps us not let the inevitable negative comments overwhelm our attention) 💛

Course evals time and this is my fav 3 things a student learned this semester: “It doesn't matter when you learn, it matters that you learn it - How to be okay with not understanding something - How to ask for help” Lots of others listed stats and methods (content) but this is 🥰
“Prof SL is very open about his life and experiences so this makes you feel more comfortable about being yourself as well. He is weird, quirky, and energetic which I loved. He makes the classroom what it is.” 😭
Here is the national perspective. Immediately you notice that fewer students are staying in-state. Out-of-state and out-of-region migration over time is increasing.
Everywhere.
@ProfessaJay “find out which neighborhoods are struggling with rats and send me a report” is exactly how I write exams in my stats+methods class. I write Qs like someone who knows nothing about methods, stats, or the measures and give them a dataset to sort it out and give advice. They do it!
Can IPEDS @EdNCES pay data be filtered by school/discipline? The gender gap is wild and pervasive. Wondering if it’s driven by gender differences in # of high pay faculty (law, business, engineering, econ) or pervasive across units 😬 @chronicle https://t.co/na1yDm6PDK
Our first thesis defense was yesterday!!! 🎓 A huge congrats to Carmel for officially graduating with distinction @DukePsychNeuro after her incredible defense of her work testing how trauma influences episodic memory!! Hooray!!
