@MLBTheShow you really need to do something about these freeze offs and quitting penalties. I can’t play with a friend for an hour because your game freezes ?
@raue3@Haudricourt It’s sad but best way would be like the nba with salary minimums and maximums. If your team can’t afford to hit the MLB minimum salary number then sorry your city doesn’t get a team anymore. Would suck for the fans but would make the league more even.
@raue3@Haudricourt I wish they could figure it out but the players don’t want a salary cap because then teams like the Dodgers and Yankees would be limited and there would be less money. Even if you made the cap like 140 million the poor teams would spend 50 million still.
@raue3@Haudricourt It’s not a terrible line of thinking. I think they are trying to extend their competitive window and hoping to get hot one of these years but if they kept him longer I wouldn’t have hated it. Baseball economics do suck big time.
@raue3@Haudricourt It will take a few years to find out. Stearns didn’t lose very many trades in his 7 years. And again, you can’t have a small payroll and pay a closer 15 million or more so it was only a matter of time before Hader was gone.
@Haudricourt@raue3 Right. Trading a win now piece like Hader makes zero sense for the people trying to paint a picture of him not caring on his way out. Hader is going to be very expensive soon you can’t have the most expensive closer in baseball with the Brewers payroll.
@raue3@Haudricourt If he knew he wasn’t staying with the team long term why would he make a trade to benefit the team multiple years in the future? Also having an expensive closer for a team with a small payroll is not a good option.
@raue3@Haudricourt Why would someone halfway out the door trade away a win now piece? Your logic would make sense if he pushed all the chips in and was a buyer at the deadline knowing he was leaving.
@DannyParkins I keep hearing the clip about Cubs players being hit 27 times by Brewers….Brewers have also been hit 26 times by the Cubs over the same stretch of time.
@corey_cubs So you didn’t see the fact that cubs have hit the Brewers 26 times over that same stretch? Ian Happ also said the scouting report on the cubs is fastballs inside and soft stuff away. Rizzo and Contreras also stand on top of the plate so going to get more hbp.
@mullyhaugh I think Crosby had made 24 consecutive fg before yesterday. I’m a bears fan but you guys are acting like he’s been bad all year. Hope the misses continue next week!
@FanBrewer@JeffPassan@byJulianMack Plenty of at bats to be had in the outfield. 486 starts between the 3 spots. Rare to see players at 150+ starts these days so : Yelich 140, Cain 120, Garcia 120, Bradley jr. 106.
