Geco is excited to be part of this new promotion bringing together granular herbicide equipment from @SalfordGroup, product from @gowancanada , and a Geco map and prescription to target the worst weed patches in your field.
Been working on something, a little carrot for farmers in Western Canada looking for equipment to put down granular herbicide! Very excited to announce this to you all!
This joint program with @gowancanada@SalfordGroup and GECO is a reward for those of you investing in us.
When it comes to resistant weeds, experience in the field matters.
Kelly Boles from Center Field Solutions shares his thoughts on resistant weed control strategies and how the Gowan + GECO partnership is bringing Muddy Boots thinking to one of agriculture’s toughest challenges.

More farms are now using Geco's weed emergence predictions to increase seeding rates only in the weediest hotspots. This adds extra competition that combines with herbicides to deplete the weed seed bank and restore weedy patches to higher crop yield over several seasons.
What if we told you herbicides don’t always decide who wins between crops and weeds?
This image shows the same field, same herbicide program, same fertilizer. The only difference is how densely the wheat crop was seeded.
By mid-season, weeds had taken over the lower-density area.
A weed scientist friend once told us: “Herbicides are just a way to temporarily disadvantage weeds, giving the crop a chance to get ahead and outcompete them.”
“Next-gen multi-layer analytics to improve profit from integrated weed management” is an investment of GRDC. It is led by AHRI in collaboration with Geco.
Geco Strategic Weed Management is thrilled to announce we are joining a multi-year project with the Australian Herbicide Resistance Initiative (@AHRI_Team, @Mike_AHRI) and the Grains Research and Development Corporation (@theGRDC).
Ultimately the goal is to develop usable and cost-effective techniques for improving weed control while minimizing the risk of developing herbicide resistance.
