@NateSilver538 People are glossing over the fact that parties have primaries that are supposed to root out problematic candidates. In both Maine and Texas people had other candidates to vote for, and they deliberately voted for the person who had serious character flaws.

@mtaibbi If people want to have a kid alone, that's their choice. It's harder by yourself but it's up to them. If they are alone becuase of difficult life circumstances they deserve some sort of support. Conservatives often place a higher priority on parenthood, nothing new there.
