@BlackbeardMJ@pewpewpizdec The madness is if the theory that Summerhall was an attempted blood sacrifice (and Dunk was forced to pull a Jaime Lannister on Egg) is true
@BlackbeardMJ@pewpewpizdec Baelor I was mad, and if we count debilitating mental disorders, then Daella, Gael, Jaehaera, and Vaella all qualify. There's also the possibility that Egg went mad toward the end, resulting in Summerhall.
@lucaajw Worth noting that Turkey didn't even exist in St. George's day, and the Turks didn't appear in that for another 7-800 years. The real St. George was from that area (then part of the Roman empire), but would have been culturally, linguistically, and ethnically Greek.
@DuncanBrola@NotGlidus I actually took Jaehaerys's initial discomfort when Alysanne first brought up the tradition of First Night as implying that he'd done it during his youth.
@NakolH@NotGlidus Fire and Blood heavily implies that Daenerys's eggs were laid by Dreamfyre (who would go on to become Helaena's dragon), stolen by Elissa Farman, and sold in Essos, where they eventually wound up owned by Illyrio.
@bottlezai Charging for AI art is already laughable, but charging for AI art aping an actual artist's style is outright disgusting and pathetic, to be honest.
there’s media literacy and then there’s tumblr/ao3/booktok media literacy where the only thing you can glean from a work is the fanfiction you’re gonna wring out of the slightest character dynamic
@archaeologyart Gallienus shouldn't be darkened, whereas Valerian should. Gallienus's reign ended with his murder, whereas Valerian's effectively ended with his capture by the Persians.
@_moldbridge_ @UpdatingOnRome Romans never conquered Ireland, as in the Roman era, it was a backwater so poor it wasn't even worth trading with. India had rich kingdoms with valuable goods, so a lot of trade happened with them.
@ybgepix @SPIDEY1500 The coat with the collar however was peak, as well as the whole concept of him being a "vulture" by scavenging leftover technology from battles.
@ybgepix @SPIDEY1500 IMO the design went too far into realism - the wings made it look like he was strapped into a small plane or something rather than them being an extension of his body, the design overall lacked colour, and the mask/helmet didn't really feel Vulture-like.
@SPIDEY1500@SpiderMan3news tbh in cases like Vulture, Electro, and Doc Ock, strict faithfulness to the comic designs isn't necessarily a good thing. (Though MCU Vulture went too hard in the opposite direction, IMO)
