First thing that comes to mind is tackling machine. He's a true middle linebacker who processes the game at a high level, consistently reading blocking schemes, diagnosing movement up front, and finding the football before the play has a chance to develop. His pursuit speed allows him to work sideline to sideline, while his efficient footwork keeps him under control with very few wasted steps. He disguises interior blitzes with veteran-like patience before exploding downhill, routinely creating tackles for loss. Physicality is one of the defining traits of his game, attacking blockers instead of absorbing contact and using strong grip strength and body control to finish tackles. He also takes disciplined pursuit angles on perimeter runs, preventing ball carriers from turning the corner. Keep an eye on this one—he has all the traits of a true defensive leader in the middle.
