Think depends how you look at it. Think issue for me is i have no issue with Rice playing as an 8 but Anderson is more of a controller atm.
Think if your gonna play Rice as an 8 you have to have someone who is ambitious behind him. Although i fully believe Anderson is capable of that hes not shown it for England yet.
Gordan, Eze top from you.
We needed more tracking back which Gordon gave.
Feel Spence is a bit too selfish with his off the ball movements at RB and can see why Tuchel constantly gets annoyed by him. Once we had Rice - Eze - Saka triangle (even with none playing at their best) felt we got way more space down that right.
Until Reece James is fit, Rice needs to be the RB. Doesn’t function in midfield with both him and Anderson. Rice needs to be deeper as we need better trackers in transition and his connection with Arsenal wingers makes that right hand side way more instinctual.

Im down to take the piss out of a spurs player but that goal is literally not on Spence at all.
Fact pickford is getting away with it being on Spence is incredible PR.
Anderson is an incredible player on the ball but we can’t keep playing him as a 6 if he is going to walk back in defensive transitions.
I would play Rice 6, as a second pivot and Jude.
Seen a lot of ‘we need to part ways with Eze’ tweets.
Don’t know i just believe in intelligent players its just a matter of time before it clicks for them.
Bukayo Saka has averaged 1.7 goal contributions per 90 at the 2026 World Cup so far, more than any other England player.
Should he start for the Three Lions against DR Congo in the round of 32?
Rooney you may need to go back into management because no lie think you have flipped a switch.
Genuinely love the way hes been talking for the last year. Most intelligent statements ive seen from a fergie player.
🚨 Wayne Rooney fires back at Jürgen Klopp over his comments comparing Germany's disallowed goal to Arsenal's set-pieces:
🗣️ “Listen, you can't keep dragging Arsenal into every conversation.
Every time there's a controversial decision, somehow Arsenal become the reference point. It's getting ridiculous.
People spent an entire season trying to discredit Arsenal's set-pieces, calling them lucky, calling them boring and saying they were exploiting the rules.
Now Germany have a goal ruled out after a VAR review, and suddenly Arsenal are being mentioned again.
The two situations aren't the same.
Arsenal's set-pieces were worked on relentlessly on the training ground. They were legal, they were effective, and they played a huge part in Arsenal becoming Premier League champions.
Let's stop being hypocrites. When Arsenal score from a well-worked routine, it's called 'boring football.' When another team is on the wrong end of a VAR decision, Arsenal are somehow blamed for changing the game.
Enough of that.
Give Arsenal credit for what they achieved instead of using them as the benchmark every time football throws up another controversy.”
What is the obsession with Americans adding ‘rules’ for a sport they don’t understand nor have a single sport of their own that even touches it.
Stfu watch it or don’t but please don’t tell the most popular sport in the world how it can ‘improve’ for your liking.
