We were inspired by a fellow Grimoldby pupil from @Grimoldby_Y3 who taught some sign language to Year 4 today. You will have to see if your child can remember Merry Christmas.

This morning, Year 4 went on a nature walk in the local area. We looked at the local woodland, the different trees and leaves that we could see. We have created a survey for you all to complete about the woodland and used classification to sort the leaves.

Year 4 are hooked with their narrative writing. They are writing all about the escape from Pompeii. These are just some of the words that they wanted to include in their narrative during their planning lesson. I can't wait to read them.

Today Year 4 worked in #unity showing their #creativity in music to create the sounds of the rainforest. Each group had a different layer of the rainforest and each one sounded amazing! Well done!
As Grimoldby is the kindest school ever, Year 4 had no problem writing down a kind thing to say about everyone in their class. It was lovely to see all the different thoughts they came up with.

Christmas pending.
Year 4 had the afternoon to work together to decorate the tree. They worked in #unity to create a paper chain that worked all the way around the tree and created some giant baubles for the classroom. More decorations coming!

KS2 parent share was busy in Year 4 this evening. Plenty of proud grown ups for our children sharing their amazing work and how much they have achieved in a short space of time.

Year 4 are continuing to achieve everything week. Whether it's TTRS or sporting events inside or outside of school. They are forever, "being the best that they can be."

Here are some of our TTRS celebrations for the week. We are so proud of Year 4 and all the amazing hard work they are putting in to learning their times tables both at school and home. Keep it up!

Yesterday, Year 4 were very lucky to be invited to a Kurling and Boccia competition. They worked so well as teams to achieve amazing results. Grimoldby came first overall in the competition and that included beating some of the KEVIGS children twice our age.

Year 4 worked in unity today to trial different bases. They needed to find which one was the most secure method for planning their own pavilion.

Year 3 and 4 girls had a lovely morning exploring different books in the library. We collated a list of books for every letter of the alphabet. This is just a small selection of what we found.
