If you never stop to ask yourself if the sacrifice is worth it, your days will automatically begin to fill not just with more things, but with more trivial/tedious things, because they've never had to clear the hurdle of being judged more important than something else.

Recently finished listening to the audiobook for Four Thousand Weeks by Oliver Burkeman and...wow...
Really insightful and down to earth. Immediately started up a second listen and ordered the physical book!
Feeling inspired to make some changes.
I'm only ~5 lbs away from my "goal" weight and can't decide whether to just call it good here or keep pushing to hit 250 π€
I've been in a calorie deficit for roughly 9 months with a little break over the holidays at maintenance. Been a long time π
Office organization will forever be a mystery to me
The space required by everything is just too much....or I have too many things...
Couldn't be that πΆβπ«οΈ
Getting to early adulthood right as social media was enabling people to strike it big doing all sorts of things really took over my mindset for how I needed to also be successful - including eventually my run on Twitch.
I'm actually quite content being useful in my job.
Taking a step back from social media last year really gave me mental space to reevaluate a lot of priorities.
Over the last couple months in particular I came to terms with the fact that I don't actually want to have a side hustle or run my own business.
What's everyone got on the to-do list for 2024?
Here's mine:
1. Lose 10 more lbs (for 50 total)
2. Organize my home office (it's a mess)
3. Improve my day-to-day routine
I'm not big on resolutions anymore, but it's never a bad time to think about what you want to get done!
Only a few things in mind for 2024:
1. Continue my career as a software developer
2. 10 more pounds to lose, figure out how to fit exercise into the schedule
3. Continue to work on being present for my family
4. Figure out a social outlet again? π
Been a minute, I haven't decided what I want out of social media, but I think I might try it out for a bit again, as much of a ποΈπ₯ as it seems to be.
The end of 2022 and 2023 brought about a lot of changes for me and my family, but I'm happy with where we're at!
Just tracking my food and staying at a minor deficit. I focused on getting minimum amounts of protein and fat, and then not worrying about the rest. And attempting to be more generally active.
Not really sure what it was, but I feel great and can't see myself going back!
