Golden color. On the nose, aromas of ripe fruit, honey, dried fruit, accompanied by subtle notes of wood. Smooth in the mouth with good body and integrated acidity, showing complexity rather than freshness. Dry finish.
Dinner at Gloria Osteria Milano. Started with beef carpaccio and 24 month aged parmigiano reggiano along with zucchini flowers in a corn and rice batter with parsley mayonnaise. Followed by fresh egg tagliatelle with lobster and cherry tomatoes in a lobster bisque sauce. Accompanied by an exceptional 2022 Sassicaia. Another amazing lobster/seafood pasta paired with a Sassicaia!

Intense ruby color. On the nose, ripe black fruits, spices, notes of vanilla and toasted wood. Structured in the mouth with lively acidity, firm but elegant tannins and good balance. Long and persistent finish.
Dinner at Ristorante La Veranda Dei Pescatori in Varenna. Started with smoked sturgeon carpaccio with crème fresh. Followed by sliced sturgeon with potato & onion mousse and caviar. Accompanied by a very nice Primitivo di Manduria Sessantanni Old Vines, while overlooking #LakeComo.

#NationalRescueDogDay with a 2020 @ZacaMesa_Wine GSM from Santa Ynez Valley. This one shows aromas of black plum, rose petals and cinnamon with a palette of black cherry, violets and leather. Evie is a rescue, adopted 2 years ago from the Monterey County SPCA, @SPCAmc.
