@unonumero_56 Luffy is pure but he's also rude, quick to temper, cares nothing about offending other people, is happy to steal anyone's treasure (see Skypeia), and can be unreasonable at times. When it matters he'll be the big damn hero, but the other stuff makes him great.

@Lokomachine @Promithean11 Up until the finale, it's a very natural evolution. We see him learn tricks and they're useless until he's put the work into practicing with them. He learned traction from a pro hero teaching him, crawling was an accident catching a train, etc.
