@agronomistag Currently working on a 6-7 year rotation with a good cattle price. 3-4years of pasture, strip tilled in the last fall for corn into a 3-4 cash crop rotation and repeat.
@farmerstrang Fell asleep on the floor of a Gleaner F many times as a little one. I have a 2012 9770 which is less complicated and does a good job, but I also just had a $700 bill for just coming out to the field for a small thing. Service is where the money is it seems.
@untappedgrowth@FairHillFarm19 I want to do it all, even Mark Sheppard's world. I started planting some of his tree/shrub rows. I just have a real problem determining where the scale of hiring people comes in with such a mixed diverse operation. So basically, I need some human cloning tech please.
@untappedgrowth@FairHillFarm19 Sorry, I shouldn't have responded to your previous question before I actually finished the podcast. I have that book in audible yes, listened to it last summer I think. I think I need to hammer it again a few times.
@untappedgrowth@FairHillFarm19 I've been in this world for about 8 years, I know exactly what I need to do. How do you become a better people/time manager? I'm getting burnt out, might fire you a dm sometime if you don't mind.
This having kids thing is finally starting to pay off. 10yo inverting some oats. Did she break down from not paying close enough attention? Yes, but I still do that sometimes. #farmgirl#FarmLife
@WxOntario1 Hey, I'd like to cut some forage oats that need 2-3 days to dry. How serious is all this rain that's being called now over the next week? Thanks for doing what you do!
@CBKimbrell Bought a cheap bred cow quite a few years ago the same way, except the cow didn't survive. I bottle fed that monster Charolais and he did awesome. Wish the $600 cow would have survived to though.
