Header picture dedicated to the memory of my late mother (1920-2013), who in the last months of her life picked her brushes one last time to prepare a beautiful tombstone for our friend Ti-Gars. #RIP#LoveYouMama#cats
@K3TripleR I had the Heathkit JK-1022 when I was twelve. Only 25 experiments, but components could be moved around to optimize layouts. Lots of fun and lots of transistors needing replacement... The transistors were two 2N3393 and one 2N3416. Went on to study electrical engineering.
Bizarre.
@penguinusa1776@EiraCollin19 Did you read the original post?

@TheBrianMcManus My father had one from 1988 until his death in 2000 (aged 70 to 82).
About half the footprint of the device (containing the power source) had shielding that showed as completely white on X-rays.
@holisticnut33 The real question is "Why did the eclipse predicted by those using a round Earth model happen exactly as announced, if the Earth is flat"?
No camera of any kind is required to see a total solar eclipse happening.
