🌿🍂 Sprout Club got creative with nature this week by making beautiful "nature trees" using leaves straight from our garden! 🍃✨ Our little artists used their imagination to craft vibrant trees, layering the leaves to reflect all the colors and textures of fall.
🥳 Salad Party! Today, we’re modeling how to gently harvest our lettuce leaves and prep them for a tasty, nutritious wrap. 🥕 Students took a moment to draw what their "tummy beasts" are telling them throughout the day, and the importance of eating a well-rounded meal!
We are kicking off the citrus season at the Boys and Girls Club with stevia-infused lemonade 🍋 Kids made their own lemonade using a citrus press and instead of sugar, we sweetened it with stevia from the garden for a healthy twist!
🐝 Happy Wildlife Conservation Day! 🦋
Today, let's celebrate the incredible species that share our planet—and commit to protecting them. One small but mighty way we can help is by letting our garden plants flower! 🌺
Today is ❤️Giving Tuesday❤️

🌈 Eating the Rainbow, Straight from the Garden! 🌱 TK students went on a rainbow scavenger hunt in the garden and harvested the rainbow to taste! We tried zucchini, rainbow carrots, rainbow chard, purple kale, radishes and sugar snap peas!
We are picking herbs and practicing mindfulness in our herb sachet lesson. Students are exploring all of the calming scents the garden has to offer such as lavender, mint, rosemary and sage.
🍁Fall’s in full swing in the garden, and so are the apples! 🍏🍁 Kindergarten students are enjoying Granny Smith apples at their peak with a fun tool that slices, peels, and cores!
STEAM day👩🔬🔎Our little scientists are also little artistes in the garden 🌱🎨🔬 we are blending creativity and nature to express ourselves through art! Students are inspired by the garden and enjoy using various mediums to create something unique in the outdoor space.
We are celebrating Fall produce in the garden with Apple Pears! 🍐 Our featured Farm To School fruit this month is the Apple Pear, also known as Asian Pears or Sand Pears! The students are enjoying them in the cafeteria and the garden.
Today’s lesson is all about pumpkins and seasonal eating! 🎃
Students will explore different types of pumpkins and squash, learning to identify what’s ‘in season’ and how nature shows us when food is ready.
🌱 #GardenEducation#SeasonalEating#PumpkinFun#FallInTheGarden”
We are beating the heat with Solar Nachos! Students will explore a series of energy stations where they can observe models of energy at work. When students understand that nature is doing the work for us, they can make sustainable choices while enjoying a snack!
The garden is crawling with visitors 🦗🕷️
Just as we plant different produce for the seasons, there are always new insects that make their way to the gardens during different times of the year. Every time we see a new critter, it's a learning opportunity for our students!
