Ego gets the best of people from time to time, how could it not when he had the season he had before it all went to his head, maybe time in Barca helped him through it but that post doesn’t suggest he’s a better professional for it, shame, the kid could have been a club legend
🚨 United executive on why Manchester United would’ve still accepted Rashford if he showed the same attitude he’s showing elsewhere:
🗣️ United executive:
“I saw the post he made about the teams and people he's grateful for, but he never mentioned Manchester United. He says it's not a dig at the club. Maybe it's not a direct dig. But it's difficult to make a post like that and leave out the club that believed in you from the academy all the way to the first team. The club that made you one of the faces of its project for years.
What didn't Manchester United do for Marcus Rashford? Even when his performances became inconsistent, the club never completely gave up on him. The idea was never to push him out. The idea was simple: Reduce the wages. Fight for your place. Earn your way back into the starting eleven. Prove you still have the level. The club was prepared to work with that. But he didn't want that reality.
The strange part is that the attitude he has shown elsewhere is exactly the attitude that would've helped him at Manchester United. He worked hard. Kept his head down. Accepted his role. Tried to earn opportunities. Yet the club he's trying so hard to impress still doesn't seem to view him as important enough to build around. Now he's back where he started.
The irony is that if he showed that same attitude at Manchester United, there would still be people inside the club willing to welcome him back. Not as the star. Not as the face of the project. But as a player willing to earn his place again. The path back was never closed. The conditions just changed. And sometimes in football, accepting that reality is the hardest part.”
@utdreport Easily the worst business we ever conducted, he made history at United as the worst signing ever made and should be the bench mark of a) how not to conduct transfer activity and b) how not to be a professional 🤣 I’m sure he doesn’t give two 💩’s he got his money though…
@StretfordPaddck@Jim77828940 Squad depth is going to be key, he has talent, Marcus on the left, creating competition for places could have its benefits, LW position yet to be nailed down, Dorgu and Cunha can play there, with Carricks man management it could work, depends which Rashford turns up to Carrington
@Czooba Nope, I’m fully supportive of last seasons transfer policy shopping around in the prem, hopefully we haven’t abandoned the policy that gave us a third place finish
@UtdXclusive As soon as that deadlines passes, all negotiations with Barca should be completely shut off… and Rashford should be made aware that his move to Barca will not happen and if he intends to leave he can discuss with all other clubs (except Arsenal 🤣)
@UTDAlex8@Jim77828940 An obsession, first time they won the league for 22 years and 20 years to get back to the CL final, gotta be a very patient obsessive to hold out that long 🤣 people hate Arsenal because their fans are delusional, got every VAR decision in the league and they boring to watch! 🤣
@arsenalfami1y Rice wasted so much time taking the throw that led to the corner you ran out of time to take the corner 🤣 better team won, wasn’t a stone wall penalty in the game, neither handballs were penalties and Noni one certainly wasn’t, he had hold of the defender and pulled him down
@ESPNFC Wanna show the other angle where he’s linked him up and pulled him off balance and over 🤣 up until that point they were shoulder to shoulder, same old Arsenal alaways cheating 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
With the Barca move less likely for Rashford, surely it would make sense to have a conversation with Villa for Rogers, with Rashy as part of the deal, if both parties are adamant he needs to move on?
@UTD_Seth001@QueenMancunian There were times I watched you play and it didn’t seem like the most important thing was winning the next game, there is no doubting the talent, and it would be great seeing the Rashford we’ve seen down that left flank but this all feels PR because your move to Barca fell through
Let’s get this straight, Bruno was voted by his peers, people who currently play football, have played against him this season, and Rice was voted by a bunch of washed up bitter ex-players, (with the exception of Dion) 🤣 I know which one would mean something to me 🤣
