I had a great day in Lee's Summit yesterday at the Shamrock The Block community event and then knocking doors to hear from those who live in District 30. Being in community is a wonderful thing and brings us closer together.

Today while knocking doors in Lee’s Summit, voters said Jeff City is out of touch. They want good jobs, affordable child care, funded public schools, access to health care, and help affording groceries—not tax breaks for the wealthy or political distractions.

Tonight I joined 100's of neighbors to demand change to ICE’s extreme practices costing lives—citizens & immigrants alike.

Great night at the Jackson County Progressive Society social—met so many thoughtful people committed to strengthening our community.

After Senate Democrats began highlighting how the Republican Tax Plan will RAISE SALES TAXES on Missouri families, every Republican Senator left the floor to avoid answering questions:

While knocking doors, I heard the same concern again & again: Republicans want to eliminate the income tax & replace it with a sales tax hike.
That’s a regressive tax that hits working families hardest while giving another break to the wealthy after last year’s capital gains cut.
