“You were running the race so well. Who has held you back from following the truth? It certainly isn’t God, for he is the one who called you to freedom.”
Galatians 5:7-8 NLT
“But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children.”
Galatians 4:4-5 NLT
“If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first. The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you.”
John 15:18-19
Last year my wife and I discussed a theme for the previous year and year ahead. We are doing it again this year.
Here is what we came up with:
2023:
Her - Peace and connection
Me- Intentionality and trust
Great way of reflecting and preparing for the coming year together.
My wife and I decided to look back at 2021 and look ahead at 2022.
We discussed the words we'd use to describe each.
Here are mine:
2021 = Growth
2022 = Grace & Patience
Great activity that led to over 30 minutes of deep dialog between us. Highly recommend.
@IPvPho@jstretch85 That's a great point for 2023 with the baby on the way. (Congratulations btw- very exciting time)
Plus if you need child care (i.e. mom isn't staying at home) you could leverage an FSA for childcare expenses too. That way you're money going from earning to childcare is untaxed
@IPvPho@jstretch85 The plan is also less expensive on a monthly basis. So less out of paycheck, more from employer and more from government. Less expense on my family. BUT....
I know I'm going to max the deductible, and that is 100% my responsibility until I hit it.
The #AONE team would like to thank all US Veterans for their service on this Veterans Day and every other day. Your dedication and sacrifice is greatly appreciated!
