The ending of the book was really good leaving it up for the reader's interpretation was a good note to end on as it leaves you wondering more and what happens immediately after. #XUengl20510

@marie_altenau Yeah I agree! I personally haven't heard of Jason Reynolds before reading his books but I like that he caters to the reader and genuinely tries to give books another light to everyone not just a selected few. #XUengl20510

Graphic Novels are really great for being deep and exploring serious or sensitive topics while giving the reader an image that they can go off of to further paint the setting of the book. #XUengl20510

@StudAlexWelch That's something I noticed as well. It did a good job of capturing the feel of someone going through uncertainty with their feelings and we see that when Marcus and Grace are asking those questions abut their first love. #XUengl20510

Marginalized heroes are important for representation. They give others who may be going through tough times a reason to be positive and be strong, while also showing that they can be a hero to themselves but also others. #XUengl20510

This type of graphic novel really does a great job of expressing and offering an additional layer of emotion. The style mixed with the watercolor can really exaggerate the emotions the author is trying to explain, I really enjoyed seeing the messy art show intensity. #XUengl20510

I really like the diversity and backstory of the characters. Brazilian immigrants with Korean heritage migrating to the US leaves so much to be explored and a lot of opportunity to bring up multiple cultures within later chapters. #XUengl20510
