@ZoomFNV Pal, not everyone has to like what you like in the exact same way that you like it. Wasn't that long ago that New Vegas was the black sheep. It isn't a perfect game and I think it's writing is childish. I prefer Fallout 1 and 3. Deal with it and move on.
@ZoomFNV NV's writing is all about "self-made" actualising, Factions based politics and a cartoonishly evil world that has little nuance morally. It's legitimately childish. Unsurprisingly you have idiots all over the internet acting like it's as deep as the bloody bible.
@ZoomFNV@NoiseTheology New Vegas reads like an Objectivist manifesto and has the maturity of a 15 year old who still thinks tits are hilarious. This says more about you than it does Fallout.
@LowPolyTears@MehranMMS98 Tbh TP isn't even that dream like until season 3, which cane out decades after the fact. Before that, it has moments of dream logic and a whole lot of (I honestly think unintentionally "bad") cheese.
Love the show but it's nothing Luke SH1 at all.
@Neverupneverup@CopMoustache@gibberingphil Just plain nasty. That's why he's always polishing off his halo on this app, talking up his nice gestures and long service to the crown etc.
@Neverupneverup@CopMoustache Yeah but people like the above spend so many years wanming themselves off as "servants to the crown", that they really just can't see how ridiculous that is.
One of the most typical problems with military/police types. They're institutionalised.
@alaskorly It was really good but I'm not surprised it failed because people wanted RE noir. But what they got was an intertextual breakdown of the Alone in the Dark series. It expected people to have some very niche knowledge. As a fan I loved it but it was a poor business choice.
@alaskorly RE is great. But it's writing is pants. Silent Hill goes pretentious. Alone in the Dark hits the balance between cheesy fun and good writing. It only has 2 bad games too but gets constant crap for them. It's a shame it's such an underdog tbh
@umhamsterlammy It's a shame that Castlevania is widely defined (by its most vocal portion of fans at least) as the anime-ish metroid clones. Because the original games in the 80s and 90s are still by far and away the best the franchise has ever been.
@rsienicki@beeeeeeaan Tbf, they did throw older 5/6/7 into Tales of the Tardis and 7 did say he'd only regenerated in certain time streams, and then older 5 and Tegan continue their adventures in DWM atm + the recent collection trailer which ties into DWM. So it kind of is in the show tbf
@frayedform Trevor is a hobo vagrant and Simon is suddenly a fancy Knight in Simon's Quest so I disagree that the barbarian thing fits Simon better than Trevor.
And you don't see people complain because the only people complaining in the CV fandom these days are the weeby IGA fans.
@dyhptg I hope so too, but I'm already too used to people seeing 8-bit games and writing them off as worthless. I do agree that it does water down big milestone titles tbf.
(They're missing out, so it's unfortunate).
